Motorsport: Cork Motor Club to run single stage rally

Cork Motor Club, who were one of the first in motor sport to be affected by the foot-and-mouth scare when they had to cancel their West Cork Rally earlier this year, have now been granted permission by Motorsport Ireland to run a single stage rally.

The Cork event will take place on December 2 and will feature a 10-mile tarmac special stage and will be run in east Cork.

Regulations and entry forms for the event will be available shortly.

These can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to clerk of the course for the event, Brian O’Connell, 1 Cranford Pines, Ballincollig, Co Cork.
