Basketball: Templeogue seek to get back on track
The Dublin side lost heavily last week to Killester and coach Mark Keenan will be demanding for a far better performance in this game.
âIt was a strange game as we were coming off a cup win and if you have players struggling with injuries itâs always tough playing a side like Killester,â Mark said.
Keenan believes some of the players that were carrying niggling knocks after the cup final are now almost back to full fitness.
âConor Grace is still out but we should be ok with the rest of my squad with the exception of Paddy Kelly who is out for the remainder of the season,â added Keenan.
DCU Saints were demolished in Cork last week by C&S UCC Demons and they will be hoping to regroup for the visit of Swords Thunder. The Saints coach Joey Boylan felt his side werenât at the races against Demons and is demanding for a better performance.
âWe only played in snatches against Demons and the guys know that standard of basketball is not good enough against the elite sides and Swords Thunder are another quality team,â Boylan said.
â After the game we had a good chat and hopefully we will find our best form against Swords who will be also be determined to get one over on us.â
In the Womenâs Premier league DCU Mercy face a tricky home game against WIT Wildcats with coach Mark Ingle determined his side clinch the regular season title.
âWe had a break last week but put in some serious work on the training court as Wildcats are a decent side who could punish us if we are not ready for a battle,â Ingle said.
Singletonâs Supervalu Brunell are involved in a do or die game against Liffey Celtics in their bid to clinch the final play off spot.
The permutation shows that Brunell must win by seven points or more to deny the Kildare side that are sure to be tough opponents for the Leesiders.
