“The girls had the heads right, to be honest,” said Ballyshannon coach Julianne Murphy. “We just told them to keep control of the ball and don’t let the other team dictate the pace and it came out well in the end.”
Regina Mundi’s fast break had put them ahead at half-time. Katie Walshe notched an eight-point second quarter while Ellie Leen chipped in a three-point play for a 20-19 lead before Ballyshannon took control.
