Rohan and Smyth eye more golden moments

Ireland’s Paralympic team took a break from the medal trail yesterday after six positively greedy days here in London but the pursuit will resume today when Mark Rohan and Jason Smyth attempt to double up on golds claimed earlier this week.

Rohan and Smyth eye more golden moments

Both men dealt nonchalantly with the levels of expectation that accompanied them to these Games in the last week by winning their first events with something to spare and they will start their respective events in Brands Hatch and the Olympic Stadium as clear favourites yet again.

Rohan is first up in the H1 individual road race in the morning and Smyth will follow later in the evening when he runs in the final of the T13 200m having breezed through his heat early yesterday morning.
