The Irish Coursing Club have received a ‘hands off’ warning over a decision taken by its executive to switch the Irish Cup meeting from its historical home in Co Limerick.

The ICC declared last month they intended to transfer the meeting from Limerick racecourse at Patrickswell and were seeking expressions of interest from clubs wishing to run the event.

The prestigious cup is sponsored by well known Limerick sportsman JP McManus and carries a winner’s prize of €80,000.
