Bowtell advances in Loughborough

Ireland’s Amy Bowtell yesterday battled her way to the second round of the ITF Women’s Circuit event in Loughborough, England.

No 6 seed Bowtell put the disappointment of last week’s quarter-final loss to Germany’s 15-year-old Antonia Lottner in Stockholm behind her as she scored a 4-6 6-3 6-3 win over Britain’s Aimee Gibson.
