Bob can put wind up rivals despite draw
Southwind Bob, the star of the opening round, faces a very tricky assignment from a rails berth, given he took a wide route from trap four last week.
To complicate matters, Cnoc Crash, in trap two, is also likely to edge wide early doors while Sportsman Pete, in trap four, cut in when carding 29.24 last week.
However, Southwind Bob showed pace in abundance when carding 29.17 and, given luck in running, can double up.
Oatencake Tiger, in the wars when a beaten favourite in the heats, can set the record straight in the second semi-final. This fellow was shut out at the break and again at the opening bend when an eight lengths runner-up behind Sportsman Pete.
A switch to the inside can enable the Denis Fitzgerald trained runner bounce back here at the main expense of Liscaha Rosie.
The latter ran well from an inside draw when second behind Southwind Bob but is likely to find life more difficult from a trap four draw tomorrow.
Boherash Torres, held up at the opening bend when failing by a head to reel in the improving Prodigy Playboy last week, can reverse the placings in the first semi-final of the Cummins Sport A4 525 Stake.
Black Craftsman, who got off the mark at the second attempt in 29.01 last week, can go on improving in the second semi-final.
