Chapo proves a massive blot on the handicap

PAUL NICHOLLS’ winner Chapoturgeon proved a massive blot on the handicap in the Jewson Novices’ Chase.

To say he won easily would be something of an understatement. Timmy Murphy had the ride and was in no hurry.

The five-year-old, however, was tanking coming down the hill, eased ahead away from the second last and then quickly scampered nine lengths clear.
