Mud-loving Mullicagh can follow-up
Conditions are going to be very testing, but that certainly won’t trouble this mud-loving six-year-old.
She revelled in the heavy ground when putting up a fine performance at Listowel last time and a repeat of that effort should be good enough.
At Listowel, the daughter of Oscar Schindler cruised through the contest, before being let loose heading to the home turn.
From that point it was a procession, as the selection lengthened away to land what should have been a competitive handicap by 18 lengths.
Parsons Pistol, a costly failure at Listowel, can redress the balance in the Mullingar Beginners Chase.
He made a bad mistake at the tenth and was never able to get in a blow afterwards at impressive winner, Dashing George.
The final verdict was ten lengths, but the form was boosted when Dashing George easily won a handicap at Tralee subsequently.
Noel Meade trains Parsons Pistol and might also have the answer to the Bumper with Realt Dubh.
He finished third to Special Occasion at Listowel and has three parts of a length to find on second placed Run For Charlie.
Realt Dubh, an ex-winning pointer may, however, have more scope for improvement and is readily preferred.
