JOHN DUGGAN hasn’t looked back since re-joining the training ranks last summer and he landed a notable success at Curraheen Park on Saturday night when Flying Supremo took the final of the Beamish Stout 525 Stakes in a career best 28.97.

Flying Supremo, co-owned by Kevin O'Brien, Barry Murphy and Ted Fitzgerald, broke in front and had established a four length over An Preachan at the second bend.

That had increased to six lengths down the back straight but Flying Supremo needed all his resolve as Loughteen Cash, making rapid headway from the third bend, finished with a flourish to close the gap to just half a length at the line.
