After such a long build-up, after all the pining for it all to start, after craving the oxygen and sunshine of the Munster Championship as badly as a crowd of people locked into a dark shed for months, it now feels like we’re waiting for it to begin all over again.

Now that we’ve got a taste for it, the craving is crazier than ever. The Munster Championship has started in a blaze and the inferno has still left scorches everywhere. Four of the five teams have a point on the board – with Waterford still to play – but draws are nothing results in many ways. For a start, they do nothing for you on the head-to-head rule, which increases the pressure on teams around scoring difference.
