After last year’s Munster football final it would have been understandable and even forgivable for the Clare public to give up on their footballers.

All the good of an historic semi-final win over Cork was undone by how the Cliffords and Kerry were allowed breeze in for five goals, inflicting upon another generation of Clare supporter what multiple others either side of the Miltown massacre of ’79 had endured.
