It’s an unwritten clause but whenever we sign up to get involved in sport, part of the contract we enter is that sometimes we’re going to lose narrowly, cruelly, even unfairly and we just have to accept that it and human error happens.

Last week a club in the Irish national basketball league and even a wing of the sport’s national governing body forgot that and themselves.
