Kieran Shannon: On Saturday, Ireland's MVP comes up against the face of college basketball

You can’t exactly bill it as a head-to-head as right now no college athlete in America, male or female, can match Caitlin Clark for star or scoring power.

But tonight (Saturday, 8pm) the VIP that is Clark will in her team’s first game of this season’s March Madness be going up against a fellow MVP: a 23-year-old called Bronagh Power-Cassidy, the standout player of the Patriot League Conference, Holy Cross College and before that Holy Faith Clontarf and DCU Mercy Coolock.
