Amidst all the sadness and gloom that fell upon the country 20 years ago this week with the tragic and sudden death of Cormac McAnallen, there was a ray of light that helped lift the mood.

On the drive back down south having worked on covering his funeral, I tuned in to listen to events from Twickenham, not expecting much, or at least an Irish victory.
