‘Bonner’ gets green light for showdown

Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher has recovered from the rib injury he picked up in the semi-final win over Cork and will be available for next month’s All-Ireland SHC final against Kilkenny.

Panellist Niall O’Meara is Tipperary’s only injury concern ahead of the decider. The Kilruane McDonaghs clubman went over on an ankle in a club championship game over the weekend but is expected to be fit for selection,

“It’s looking good,” said manager Eamon O’Shea. “I got an outline summary from the physio on Sunday evening, but it’s looking good.
