Annie a mare of rare talent

Mares like Dawn Run and Quevega arrive on the scene all too rarely, but it is quite possible Annie Power may be regarded in that league at some stage in the future.

Her defeat of three geldings in Defy Logic, Don Cossack and Moscow Mannon, in a Grade 2 at Naas last Sunday, was quite breathtaking and far in advance of anything achieved prior to that.

Admittedly, Annie Power travelled to Naas on the back of winning all five of her previous races, three bumpers and two over flights, but this offered an entirely more demanding challenge.
