The Spanish team may not be the only European champions Ireland face this summer.

Because, after four years of wishing and hoping himself, Ivica Olic may finally prove a king of the continent.

In 2008, the forward was a key part of the Croatia team who were among the heavy favourites for that summer’s European Championship before falling to Turkey in quarters. In 2010, he toiled for Bayern Munich as they lost to Inter in the Champions League final. And, in a month’s time, he’s finally hoping to go one better.
