BETHRAH came with a flying late challenge to give Dermot Weld his fourth win in the Etihad Airways Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh yesterday.

It was a fantastic feat on the part of the Rosewell House maestro, considering the daughter of Marju began her season in a lowly maiden at Limerick.

She improved dramatically to take a Group 3 at Leopardstown, but to then step up to Group 1 company and land a classic is testament to the skills of the legendary handler.
