Rossdara gets Cooper off the mark

“THERE was great pleasure in that”, remarked Tom Cooper, after he watched his son, Bryan, guide the trainer’s Rossdara to success in the Cahir Mares Maiden hurdle at Clonmel yesterday.

It was a first win for the 17-year-old, who is attached to Kevin Prendergast, but moves to Dessie Hughes next Monday.

This was a good performance by the daughter of Flemensfirth, who was making her debut over flights and hadn’t been seen since landing a bumper at Cork in April.
