OUT of action with a broken collar-bone since March 26, Paul Townend returned in style when registering a double on odds-on favourites Rattan and Killultagh Queen at Ballinrobe last night where trainer Willie Mullins went on to complete a treble with Bless N’ject in the bumper.

MOON DICE, trained by Paul Flynn and having a first outing since finishing down the field behind Where’s The Dosh at Navan back in December, landed a gamble in the Ladies’ Day 10th October Maiden Hurdle at sun-drenched Limerick last night.

“THERE was great pleasure in that”, remarked Tom Cooper, after he watched his son, Bryan, guide the trainer’s Rossdara to success in the Cahir Mares Maiden hurdle at Clonmel yesterday.
