In the Munster Championship, every team is mad keen to get going and get motoring, but sometimes you’re better off to let everyone off and just sit back and watch them go at it. And not be too panicked about trying to catch up.
One team in the province has to sit out the first weekend every year but the concern around Waterford being in that position this year was that they were coming from Division 1B, when the other four sides had been in 1A. Would they be able to get up to speed straight away? Could they be playing catch-up from even a longer way back with two games then in six days, against Clare and Limerick?
