Christy O'Connor: More agony for Armagh, more elation for Donegal under McGuinness

Penalties are a lottery but a fourth defeat in that manner has made it more difficult again for Armagh to shed that brutal stigma of being unable to get the job done.

In the 56th minute of Sunday’s Ulster final, just after Oisin Gallen had reduced the margin to two points, Enda McGinley mentioned in his RTÉ co-commentary what everybody else was thinking. 

“If Donegal keep this to two points, even one point, the pressure is on Armagh,” said McGinley. “There are plenty of skeletons in the Armagh closet from games where they’ve been close, games where they haven’t got over the line. So Donegal want to put enough pressure on Armagh to see if they can hold out coming down the line.”
