Jarlath Burns gives good copy. He is comfortable doing so. The man can talk and talk well as evidenced by the multitude of well-rounded interviews he did in and around his inauguration in Newry on Saturday.

In the build-up to Congress, he gave time to RTÉ and TG4. On the day of his anointment, he spoke with RTÉ twice, gave another one-on-one to BBC as well as the GAA website in which he revealed he will be driving an electric car during his presidency (if Larry McCarthy’s tagline was “see you at a game”, Burns’ might be “see you at a charging station”).
