Glen just about survive an enthralling contest 

Last weekend, Kilmacud Crokes travelled to Newry for a training spin ahead of their All-Ireland semi-final but the rain was so heavy and the pitch so wet that the exercise was largely restricted to just recognising and adjusting to the pitch dimensions. Those exercises anyway are mostly designed to familiarise the group with new surroundings ahead of such a big game, but, no matter what they got done last weekend, Crokes walked into a different world yesterday.
