Anthony Daly: Kiladangan just refused to lose another final

In the middle of the day yesterday, a busload of lads from Shannon Rovers in Tipperary arrived into our pub. After Lorrha/Dorrha won the Premier Intermediate title last week, and Kiladangan secured the senior title yesterday, I’m not sure if the Shannon Rovers lads are delighted or envious of their neighbours but I let them know anyway that it’s been some week for north Tipp.
It was a brilliant county final, loaded with drama and tension and brilliant scores. In the 45th minute, I wrote down in my notepad, ‘This could go either way’. It looked like it was heading in Thurles Sarsfields’ direction after they sniped the next four points, before Kiladangan replied with the next five.
