In his pre-match interview on TG4 before last Sunday’s Dublin county football final, Kilmacud Crokes manager Robbie Brennan outlined how the All-Ireland champions were down seven players from the squad which won the title last January. 

Crokes had coughed and spluttered their way to the final and were going up against a Ballyboden St Enda’s side that had blitzed the opposition up to the final. And then Crokes turned the gun on ‘Boden and blew them away.
