Poignant Nirvana poster for day Kurt Cobain was to play Dublin
Historic Nirvana concert poster for cancelled Dublin concert is at Whyte's 'The Eclectic Collector' auction.
A historic poster for a cancelled Nirvana concert at the RDS in Dublin on April 8, 1994, is for auction.
The scarce Nirvana poster relates to a Dublin concert poignantly dated — it was on that day that the body of Kurt Cobain was found, three days after the
iconic frontman's suicide in Seattle.
The artwork is based on the transparent anatomical mannequin with superimposed angel wings used on the cover of In Utero, the band's third and final studio album.
The poster is one of a number of collector's items for auction at Whyte's timed online Eclectic Collector auction.
Open for bidding, it runs until next Friday (June 7).
