    • Bord Bia is calling out for local gardening groups and enthusiasts to design and deliver postcard gardens at Bloom 2024. The petite garden spaces provide community groups, schools, charitable organisations and garden clubs the chance to tell their stories and showcase creative talents through innovative and vibrant garden design. The 3m x 2m plots capture a rich tapestry of local storytelling that is brought to life through the use of plants and creative garden designs.     • The Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold their next meeting in Cobh Community Centre on Monday, March 4 at 7pm. It will be a Floral Art Teaching Night. Demonstrator/Teacher for the evening will be Ann Cooney. Admission €5.
    • Fermoy Flower and Garden club will host Jane O Dwyer (AOIFA) to give a Floral demonstration on Tuesday, March 5 next in the Adair Hall at 8pm. All welcome, visitors €10. Club annual subscription of €30 is now due.
    • The East Cork Flower Club will meet on Monday, March 4 at 7.30pm in St John The Baptist NS, Dungourney Road Midleton P25PO28 for its Annual Daffodil Show featuring various classes. Staging takes place from 7pm with judging at 8pm. All Flowers must be grown by the exhibitors. There is also a Decorative Section. Visitors welcome. Entry €7.
    • Ladysbridge & District Flower & Garden Club will host a demonstration with Margaret Mulchinock, AOIFA titled 'Spring Floral Art Demonstration' on Monday, March 11 in the Garryvoe Hotel at 8pm. Michael Mulchinock of Blackwater Accessories will have a selection of floral accessories for sale on the night. Competition "Spring is in the Air" 76cm. All welcome. Guests €10.
    • Macroom Flower & Garden Club will host a Gardening talk and Presentation “Grounded in the Garden” by T.J. Maher of “Patthana Garden” Co. Wicklow on Thursday, March 14 at Coolcower House P12E135 at 8pm. Annual Membership is accepted on the night. Visitors €10. Further enquires 087-9821708.
    • The Cork Alpine Hardy Plant Society will host a lecture on Thursday, March 28, at 8pm by Jenny Wainwright-Klein, head gardener at The Schachen Garden in Germany. The talk is titled: “Growing Alpines in the Schachen Alpine Garden: A Satellite Garden of the Munich Botanic Garden in the Bavarian Alps”. The talk takes place at Northridge House, St Luke’s Castle Road, Mahon, Cork, T12H9070. Visitors €10.
