Peter Dowdall: Make the most of your garden's technicolour glory
Azaleas are in full bloom right now. File pictures
This year we have been enjoying plants in bloom during October and early November that would be more commonly associated with spring colour.
I have been in many gardens over the last few weeks where I have seen azaleas, not with just a few errant blooms, but smothered in full flower. This, second flush of colour may be enjoyable now in the autumn but unfortunately, it means that those same azaleas won't flower next spring.
