Timeless at RDS
Timeless, the Irish Antique Dealers Fair, continues this weekend at the RDS in Dublin and is open from 11am to 6pm today and tomorrow. On offer is a vast selection of appetising items from ancient times to the contemporary.
Hibernian Antique Fairs will be at the Inn at Dromoland in Co Clare tomorrow. Meantime the Gorey antiques and vintage fair runs tomorrow at the Amber Spring Hotel.
Sheppards auction
Sheppards of Durrow is holding a house auction in Cork on October 15. It will take place in Monkstown at the home of the late businessman Michael Murphy.
In Dublin, there will be an auction of fine jewellery and watches at James Adam at 6pm next Tuesday evening. Viewing gets underway at 1pm today.
Solomon Gallery
Collectibles, an exhibition of modern and contemporary Irish and British prints, painting and sculpture, runs at the Solomon Gallery at Balfe St in Dublin until September 28. Among the artists being shown are Henry Moore, Elizabeth Magill, William Scott, Tony Cragg and Basil Blackshaw.
Aidan Foley
Aidan Foley will conduct a sale of around 500 lots in Doneraile, Co Cork, at 12pm today. It will feature pieces including antique furniture, rugs, art and collectibles. The auction will be on view from 11am.
Elizabeth Taylor
Property from the life of actress Elizabeth Taylor, which is to auctioned in LA in December, is on view at the Museum of Style Icons at the Newbridge Silverware Visitors Centre in Kildare until October 6: jewellery, fashion, film costumes, accessories.
