How about a trip back in time at Cork antiques sales

Antique furniture and outdoor pieces feature strongly at same-day events in Cork, says
SALES at Marshs and Woodward auctioneers take place in Cork city centre next Saturday. Antique furniture will feature strongly at Marshs. A Georgian Cork mahogany sideboard will be of considerable local interest. Estimated at €1,500-€2,000, it is included in a good selection of Georgian pieces at highly reasonable estimates.
Among these is a two-door mahogany bookcase (€750-€1,000), a secretaire bookcase (€2,000-€2,500), an Irish mahogany supper table (€800-€1,000), a two-pillar dining table with two extra leaves (€1,000-€1,500), an Irish tea table (€500-€600) and a mahogany chest on chest (€1,200-€1,500).
A pair of William IV mahogany card tables is estimated at just €800-€1,000. Other pieces include a Victorian dining table with four extra leaves (€1,200-€1,500), a Regency gilt overmantle (€2,000-€2,500) and a pair of button-backed Chesterfield settees (€1,000-€1,500). At Woodward’s a pair of Coalbrookedale-style garden benches will add seasonal interest this June. They are estimated at €1,500-€2,500. Another outdoor lot is a cast-iron five-piece patio set (€700-€1,200). Victorian lots include a walnut card table (€300-€500), a mahogany sofa (€300-€500) and a lady’s work table (€300-€500).
There is a two-pillar dining table (€500-€800), a Georgian pedestal sideboard (€200-€400), an Edwardian bookcase (€400-€600) and a mahogany hunting table (€300-€500).
