Rare Irish £20 note up for auction

A very rare Irish £20 note from 1943 comes up at Dix Noonan Webb in London on March 28 with an estimate of £9,000-£12,000.

The fresh, original note is dated December 22, 1943, with the serial number 01X075381 and wartime code letter A. It has Brennan McElligott signatures. The auctioneers say it is the only example they have ever offered.
