WISH LIST: Cool kitchen gadgets and built-in appliances

gets smart with alarm clocks and calls timeout with kitchen gadgets.
1. Colourful fridge
Primary colours for white goods? Yes please! Taking inspiration from The KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, comes this Iconic fridge.
That’s actually the name of it, not me giving it notions. The design has already an iF babels at the iF design awards this year. Littlewoods have it for €1,349 and you can find out more about the design aspect here.

2. Alarm clock with a difference
One of the awesome things about this kooky internet thing is the collective power of the people.
The Homtime Team are behind this super-cool and super-smart IC1 mini alarm clock. They’re a group of gadget lovers from varying areas of expertise, who came together to create devices that make time at home more relaxing and enjoyable.
iC1 mini is their last product, which is just about to be launched on Kickstarter. This will be the fourth Kickstarter project, and with features like Alexa-enabled settings, voice control, auto-dimming display and friendly app control plus and ingenious two USB charging ports, so you can charge your phone and tablet on your bedside table. Find out more here.

3. Built-in appliances
This is the W collection built-in suite, it’s all about connected appliances with “sixth sense technology”. If you like interacting with your dishwasher and chatting with the fridge freezer, this is the collection for you, my tech-savvy friend.
It sounds like an episode of Black Mirror to me. You can programme everything remotely with your phone book a holiday via the kettle (probably). Find out more here.

4. The front door
Your front door makes the first impression for visitors, I painted mine red a few years ago and lived to regret it. I like this contemporary but classic Accoya timber porch door. It comes with glass panels on each side for extra light, and prices start from €3,500. For more see here.

5. A kitchen timer with a splash of blue
Loving this colour, it’s the Alessi kitchen timer in thermoplastic resin, and its mechanical movement was designed by Michael Graves.

7. Dining table set
This is the dining set from the Tephra collection. We’re talking driftwood timber effect with a magnesium oxide table top and stainless steel legs.
Scratch and heat and fade resistant, and (apparently) easily assembled, this table and six chairs is €1,499 from Michael Kelly Interiors. Check the set out here.

8. Blue and white Moroccan tile
You’ll always find something in Homesense that you didn’t even realise you wanted. I adore this beautiful blue and white Moroccan tile I spotted recently. It’s €7, ah, if only I could afford a kitchen-load of them. See more here.
