Roses are in full bloom again

My David Austin roses are in full bloom again after being cut back quite a lot, earlier this summer.

I pruned them after the first flush of flower and went a bit hard on them, as there was some signs of blackspot.

Best way to deal with that is to remove any material with signs of infection, much better than applying damaging chemicals.

I always feel with roses that you should just go with your gut and forget the textbook.

If you think they would benefit from a haircut then give them one, no matter what the month.

Who’s to say that I won’t get a further blast of flowers for Christmas, if it’s mild enough?
