The garden will open at 11 am and Lazy River Band will be playing from 2.30pm tp 5pm.
Tea/coffee and baking will be included. We just ask for a small donation in lieu of entrance fee.
Cork Alpine Hardy Plant Society will present Derry Watkins, plant specialist from Bath on Thursday, May 26 to discuss: “Late Summer Colour,the big,the bold and the beautiful “ Derry Watkins will have plants for sale on the night. All welcome at the Lavanagh Centre 8pm.
The Lough Flower and Garden Club will host a floral demonstration by Carmel O Driscoll, AOIFA, at the SMA Centre Wilton at 8pm on Tuesday next May 24. Everyone welcome. Admission for visitors €7.
The Kenmare & District Garden Club’s next in-house meeting will be on Thursday, 2nd June with speaker Janet Hawker on the subject of ‘Permaculture for the Private Garden’. Venue: The Gateway Methodist Church, Killarney Road, Kenmare at 7.30pm. All welcome.
A Bat Walk will be held in Cork on May 22 as part of National Biodiversity Week. The walk is open to the public and will begin at 9:45 pm – 11:00pm with a meeting at the car park east of the Kingsley Hotel, Cork. Cork Nature Network is running one of its regular clean-ups on Saturday, May 21 at Beamont Quarry, meet beside SPAR on Beaumont Drive at 1030am.
Several of the gems on the stunning Waterford Garden Trail are bursting with colour ahead of a busy June programme which includes a Wisteria Weekend on the edge of Kilmeaden at Fairbrook House & Gardens.
