Many say that summer is flying by, but at times one would wonder if it ever even took off. That said, crops are ripening and beds are gradually emptying.

There is no doubt that the time has come to make the last of the summer sowings and the first of the autumn ones. Autumn sown garlic bulbs, onion sets and spring flowering bulb orders are also on the horticultural horizon.
