Kinsale Garden and Flower Club presents a gala evening, ‘Something Old, Something New’, with Orla McGrane, AOIFA, on Thursday, April 9 at 8pm in Acton’s Hotel, Kinsale. Tickets €15 (inc supper) in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Youghal Flower and Garden Club will host a Gala Charity Night in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association on Wednesday, April 8, at 8pm in the Walter Raleigh Hotel. Admission €12. Demonstration by Ann Cooney, AOIFA, entitled ‘Floral Delights’. Competition and plant sale on night.
Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, April 8, in the Temperance Hall, Strand Street at 8pm. Orla Ahern, Ahern Nurseries, will demonstrate on ‘Spring into summer containers’. Plants for sale on the night — everyone welcome, €5 and refreshments served.
The Irish Garden Plant Society (Munster), will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, April 7, at the SMA Hall, Wilton, starting at 8pm. The talk, entitled “What garden plants grow where? — a plant detective story”, will be given by Professor Peter Jones. All welcome.
Skibbereen Flower and Garden Club is holding a demonstration with Mary O’Neill, Dunmanway, in Abbeystrewery Hall on Wednesday, April 8, at 8.15pm. All are very welcome. A bus trip to Bloom is being organised for Saturday, May 30, if interested please contact 086 3201551 for details.
Aherla Flower and Garden Club will host Sheelagh Crean and Mary Sweetnam, who will give a “Gardening Talk” at 8pm on Tuesday, April 7. Venue is the Parish Centre, Ovens. Visitors are welcome and entry is €5. Refreshments will be served.
Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold its next meeting in Cobh Community Centre on Monday, April 13, at 8pm. It will be a Floral Demonstration by Rose Hickey, AOIFA, entitled “Spring is Beautiful”. Visitors welcome and admission is €5.
