* East Cork Flower Club are holding a demonstration with Angela Heffron, AOIFA on Monday, April 7, at 8pm in St. John the Baptist National School, Midleton.

* Bantry Flower & Garden Club’s next meeting is at 8pm in the Westlodge Hotel on April 7. New members welcome.

* Cork GIY’s April get-together will be at Churchfield Allotments on Saturday, April 12, at 2.30pm. All welcome, including new [e-mail] or [phone]

* Castlelyons Home and Garden Club will have its next meeting on April 24 when Eileen Palmer from Toss Bryan’s Garden Centre will give a talk on obtaining maximum colour for summer bedding.

* Cork Garden Club will host a talk by Michael Cobley, Raven’s Oak Garden, on ‘Wild Life Gardening’ at Ashton School, on April 10 at 8pm

* Ardfield Rathbarry Gardening Club will host a demonstration by Margaret Aherne on Thursday, April 10, in the Parish Hall at 8.00pm. All Welcome.

* Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, April 9, in the Temperance Hall at 8pm with guest speaker William Grainger of Green Piece Nursery, Ballinhassig. Plants for sale on the night, admission €5. Refreshments served.

* Ballincollig Flower & Garden Club will its spring meeting on Monday, April 14, at 8pm in Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig. Arrive early and avail of a complimentary flower arranging class at 7.30, theme “Elements of Design/Form”. Margaret Ahern AOIFA, will demonstrate on the theme “Delights of Spring”. Entry €5 for non-members.

* Kinsale Garden & Flower Club hosts Christopher White AOIFA for a gala demonstration on April 10 at Actons Hotel, Kinsale, 8pm. Ticket €15, including supper, in support of WAFA 2014 and Kinsale Day Care Centre. All welcome. www.wafaireland.com

* Fota House Plant and Garden Fair will run on Sunday, April 13, from 11am to 4pm and entry is €8. Volunteers from Fota House and from the Friends of Marymount Hospice will assist and a substantial donation will be given to this very worthy charity.

* Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold their next meeting in Cobh Community Centre on Monday, April 7, at 8pm. Finbarr O’Mahony, Secret Garden, will give a talk on Propagation and Plants. Plants will be on sale. Visitors welcome. Admission €5.
