Brighten up wintry greys with turquoise colours

As we continue to embrace colour in our interiors, we’ve been seduced by dazzling gem-stone emerald green, sapphire blue and ruby red.

But semi-precious stones offer an alternative which can lighten a darker colour scheme, lift an interior entrenched in neutrals, or one dedicated to our love affair with chic grey.

Turquoise has the happy ability to work with blue or green, two colours old wisdom says should never be seen together. It almost has a spectrum of its own as it can take on the mesmerising blue of the Mediterranean on one end, and the exotic green of a peacock’s tail on the other.
