¦ Aherla Flower and Garden Club will host Malcolm Kitt for a Floral Demonstration on Tuesday, March 4, at 8pm. Venue is the Parish Centre, Ovens. All are welcome —admission €5 including refreshments.

¦ East Cork Flower Club will have Daniel Leahy, of Carewswood Garden Centre to speak on “Plants to stimulate the Senses” on Monday, March 3, at St John the Baptist National School, Midleton at 8pm. Visitors welcome.

¦ On March 3 at 8pm, Bantry Flower and Garden Club, present Paul Schultz to give a garden talk at the Westlodge Hotel, Bantry. Visitors are welcome.

¦ Blackrock Flower and Garden Club will have Cllr Kieran McCarthy to give a talk on Tuesday, March 4, at 7.30 at the Ursuline secondary school Blackrock. All welcome.

¦ The Irish Garden Plant Society (IGPS) will meet on Tuesday March 4 in the SMA Hall, Wilton, Cork at 8pm. Carl Wright will give an illustrated talk: “Between a rock and a hard place” an account of the development of his garden at Caher Bridge in the Burren.

¦ Youghal Flower & Garden Club will host a garden talk by DJ Murphy on Wednesday, March 12, at 8 pm in the Walter Raleigh Hotel. Everybody welcome.

¦ ‘Grow & Eat, Don’t Eat & Grow’ discussions on the veg garden that’s suitable for beginners and more experienced gardeners. Tuesday, March 4, at 7.30pm in the South Parish Community Centre, Cork City All welcome.

¦ Dungarvan Flower and Garden Club presents a spring demonstration with Sandra Jackson, AOIFA at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan, on Wednesday, March 5, at 8pm
