The seeds of the future

DID you ever plant a pip from an apple core or from a kiwi, or plant an avocado stone?

If so, then you have experienced the joy of that seed germinating, breaking the soil surface and producing the first few leaves, and you have awaited what the seedling will become.

You can’t be sure what an apple pip will become as most modern apple trees are grafted and thus the seed may not come true to type. It could become a dessert apple or an ornamental crab apple.
