LONG-experienced chartered surveyor Isobel O’Regan of Savills ends 2025 on a strong note – having scored one of Munster’s largest investment sales at €22m in March, Ms O’Regan who is chair and commercial director of Savills Cork office was awarded professional body the SCSI President’s Award for Outstanding Contribution 2025 this week, for leadership, volunteer work, governance, mentoring  and  advocacy.

The award by the Society of Chartered Surveyors “honours exceptional leaders who have significantly contributed to advancing professionals in the built environment by volunteering for various projects, reports and events,” say the c 7,000 member-strong body, adding “it’s the highest honour bestowed upon an individual by the SCSI.”

Ms O’Regan has been with the Cork office since the 1990s, initially under its name Hamilton Osborne King/HOK, later Savills Hamilton Osborne King, now Savills, and has worked across the full spectrum, from valuation to leases, investment and advisory.

Most recently, Ms O’Regan negotiated the €22m investment sale of the Laya Healthcare property at Cork’s EastGate for Limerick-based vendors Kirkland Investment, to Primary Health Properties, one of 2025’s largest commercial transactions in Munster.

Away from deals, SCSI President Gerard O’Toole said  “it's an honour to recognise an individual who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes for the betterment of both the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Isobel’s leadership in championing standards and governance has made a profound impact on our profession. Her contribution is understood by few but appreciated by many.”

On receiving the SCSI President's Award, Isobel O'Regan said  “the support I've received from fellow members has made it all possible. I wouldn't have been involved in the RICS had it not been for the support of my fellow SCSI members. No one person can make a change to an organisation, but it has been great to be involved.”

Savills MD Mark Reynolds said they were “absolutely thrilled to see Isobel receive this thoroughly deserved recognition. This award is a clear acknowledgment of the deep and lasting impact she has had on our industry.

“For nearly four decades, Isobel has been a pillar of expertise and wisdom at Savills. Her ability to cut through complex issues and find a sensible path forward is invaluable, and she is unfailingly generous with her time and support for colleagues at every level. While she is not one for the limelight, we hope she knows how highly respected she is, and we join the SCSI in congratulating her on this outstanding and long-overdue achievement.”
