The park, on Dublin Hill just off the main N20 Cork-Limerick/Mallow road in Blackpool about two miles from the city centre, runs to 155 acres. Occupiers include Flex/Flextronics, Yves Rocher, MGS, SE Systems, and Collins Print & Packaging.

Previous occupier Option Wireless employed up to 300 here up to 2009, when it announced an extra 145 jobs, but within a year it reversed employment trends, and shed most employees.

Newly up for sale, and with an option to lease, the modern, c 28,000 sq f high-specification industrial facility vacated by Option is primarily a detached single-storey building, with part two-storey office block with meeting rooms, canteen and air-conditioned offices, all on a site by the Kilbarry Park’s entrance, on three acres.

The main production area has an antistatic floor, and an eaves height of 6.5m, says selling agent Edward Hanafin of Lisney. He guides it at €1.4 million for purchase, or €140,000 pa to let.

Loading is via a grade level loading door and two dock level loading doors. Total floor area is approx 28,263 sq ft with 18,461 sq ft in the production/ warehouse area, and there’s 9,802 sq ft in the two storey office/service block.

There’s swift access to the N20 at Blackpool, also accessible via the northern ring road are routes to Dublin and Rosslare, while other significant new arrivals in the Blackpool vicinity include Cork Builders Providers by the Mallow Road.

The IDA’s Kilbarry Park claims a services infrastructure and landscaping “to suit both manufacturing and international services sectors. The site boasts existing designs for advanced technology buildings and high specification office facilities as well as greenfield areas for future development.
