Glanmire bungalow has a fantastic rear garden (with several ponds) and is ready to move into
The owners of the 40-year old detached bungalow called Vermont have been in residence for half of this property’s life.
And, now after 21 years here in Castlejane, Glanmire, having redone all the interiors and having created a fantastic rear garden, they are looking to trade down.

The fruit of their labours is fresh up for sale as a walk-in, stroll around the 0.36 acre grounds job, guided at €420,000 by agent Gillian McDonnell of Sherry FitzGerald.
After the vendors’ internal changes, it’s currently a spacious c1,370 sq ft two-bed, as they colonised a third bedroom for use as a dressing room adjacent to the master bedroom, via an arch.

But, a third bedroom would be an easy thing to provide, suggests Ms McDonnell as there’s a good mix of living rooms and one can easily be done up as a bedroom.
Internally, there a very good standard of fit and finish, and one of the reception rooms has a high, pitched ceiling and open fireplace, the kitchen is dual aspect with painted brick splashback and it links to a family room with stone and stout timbers chimney breast, and has an integrated stove.

Another stove (electric this time around) is a feature in a sun room with patio/garden access, set next to the kitchen and in turn it leads to a more recently added conservatory, for even better garden views and right now, it houses a large, indoors hot tub, next to a shower room.
Outside the very large and immaculate tiered rear garden was lovingly planted and landscaped over decades, and has several ponds (cold tubs?) with lily pads, statuary and feature lighting throughout, and the middle small pond has a bridge-like deck to an illuminated seating area for al fresco dining.

To the side of the house is a large thru’ garage which gives side and rear garden access, and it is set in a leafy section of Castlejane, with bungalow neighbours on equally large sites.
At the asking price, its upper end for a two-bed, but little work would be needed to give it a third bedroom, it’s suggested: as it stands, it would have an appeal to couples, and perhaps active traders-down selling up homes on large grounds, and who still want a good deal of gardens to enjoy.

A bright spot
