Offered at €1.3 million is the three-storey building at 92 Oliver Plunkett Street, which has retail over ground and first floors, and has an annual income of €112,000 pa.

It is one of six Munster outlets of the 1995-established company, the others are in Wilton, Blackpool, Waterford, Limerick and Tralee.

Its original store is No 29 Oliver Plunkett Street, occupied from 1995 on a 35-year lease, say selling agents Downing Commercial who describe the sale as “a substantial retail investment property, in the heart of Cork City, which is let to one of the largest independent electronics retailers in Munster.”

The mid-terraced property runs to c 4,550 sq ft.

No 92 has good street profile, between Marlboro Street and Cook Street near where Penneys are due to expand their existing store, and is close to other traders such as Liam Russell’s bookshop, Saville Menswear, and Keanes Jewellers.

Agent John Downing says he expects a strong level of interest in this well-located income producing property, noting “as can be seen from a number of recent transactions, the investment market is still one of the strongest performing sectors.”
