Trading up: Property auction, Rochestown Park, Cork

Twenty property lots are due up for sale by auction in Cork in early December, and there could be some last minute bargains to be had for value-hunters in Munster.

The Munster Property Auction has a wide spread of properties in areas from Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare to Waterford and Tipperary.

“We have held 11 public auction events so far this year, selling 212 out of the 234 properties offered, reflecting a 91% success rate,” says Patrick Convey from IAM-SOLD Property Auctions. “Interest is from local and overseas buyers, who are making the most out of the weak euro at present. In our upcoming public auction, we will offer a large selection of properties, including family homes, residential investments, development opportunities, builder’s projects, holiday homes, and agricultural land from across Munster.”

Apartments at Thomond Student Village in Limerick might prove a worthwhile investment for families at an AMV of €80,000, while a three bed house in Listowel can be snapped up for a modest, €14,950.

A petrol station and shop at Hospital, Limerick, is up for grabs at €50,000 plus, and a holiday cottage at Killarney Country Club, Faha, can be bought for bids over €59,000.

A large shop with accommodation at Millstreet, is offered at €170,000, and a modern warehouse and showrooms at Little Island is offered at bids over €329,000 as a commercial investment.
