The offer, basically the self-contained ground floor of a renovated 1850s stone cottage divided up into two units, goes to auction on March 12, via local agent James Murphy who has it listed in the Munster Property Auction (see www.munsterpropertyauction.ie ), in the Rochestown Park Hotel. He seeks offers around €200,000.
In earlier decades the building was a popular chef-ocupied restaurant/residence, but went back to private occupation, and it’s near James Fort, next to a busy marina and up-market homes at Castlepark, as well as being close to the Dock Bar (facing Kisnale over the water) and a sandy beach facing over harbour to Charles Fort.
