Following on the sale of a city centre bar in Cork, close to the proposed new convention centre at South Gate Bridge, estate agent Con Nagle of Global Properties has a bar in Cork county offered next on his books, with a second similar due to follow in the coming weeks.

And, he says, all three are priced at not much more than the value of their residential accommodation.

Mr Nagle has gone ‘sale agreed’ on the city’s Brown Derby bar, with two overhead apartments, near the Beamish and Crawford site which is destined for the Heineken/BAM-backed conference and events centre. It made c €200/220,000, and is being bought by an established city bar owner.
