Mid terrace makeover for three-bed in Blackpool, Cork

Blackpool, Cork €145,000

Size: 71 (770 sq ft)

Bedrooms: 3

Bathrooms: 1

BER: E1

The passage of two years and a renovation job have made a big difference to both the appearance and the price of 41 Dublin Street in Blackpool.

Now guiding at €145,000, this three bed mid terrace house sold for €55,000 in early 2013 having gone on the market with an asking price of in excess of €35,000.

At that point the property had double glazing, oil heating and a G energy rating and needed renovation.

Banishing the blues inside, and painted blue since on the outside, the house has now been completely refurbished.

ā€œ It has been replastered, repainted, fitted with a new kitchen and new flooring and the owner has also done up the garden, ā€says auctioneer Gillian McDonnell of Sherry FitzGerald. The BER rating has also gone up, to an E1.

Offering a living room with a stove and a tiled kitchen with fitted units, three laminate floored bedrooms and a bathroom, the property has gravel garden at the rear.

Ms McDonnell says it’s perfect for either a first time buyer or an investor and that the interest has been good.

ā€œIt’s in walk in condition and is a central location in Blackpool village with Blackpool Shopping Centre and all its amenities just around the corner.’’

VERDICT: A very affordable house that’s ready to move into.
